Portsmouth South MP Stephen Morgan inspires Penbridge Junior School pupils during Aspirations Week

This week, Portsmouth South Member of Parliament, Stephen Morgan, revisited his roots to share his experiences and insights with children in Years 3 and 4 about life as an MP.

The visit, which took place within the hall immediately outside what was once his classroom, aimed to provide young minds with a glimpse into the life of an MP and encourage them to dream big.

As part of the school's Aspirations Week, the city MP engaged the young students in an interactive session, shedding light on the day-to-day responsibilities and challenges of being an MP.

Questions from the children referred to what the most enjoyable things about being an MP were, as well as some of the day-to-day challenges Stephen faces.

The personal connection Stephen shares with the school added a unique layer to his visit.

His journey from a student in the same classrooms to a Member of Parliament highlighted the potential for success within every child.
